Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On day one of the Taj Mahal with Palaces of Rajasthan Tour, you are welcomed at the New Delhi International airport and assistance by a representative is provided for transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
You are taken on sightseeing trips of Old Delhi and New Delhi in the morning and afternoon respectively. We will guide you to a tour of the city and visit the famous Red Fort made of red sand stone which once housed the world famous Peacock throne .The tourist adore the magnificent architecture of Jama Masjid- the largest mosque of Delhi.
Both Jama Masjid and Red Fort are built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. A visit to the lawns of India Gate is a delight and will show you the night life of the capital city. India Gate is an impressive archway and is a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers of the Indian Army, who laid their lives during the World War I.
Day 03: Delhi – Mandawa - 280 kms by road
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mandawa on the third day of the Taj Mahal with Palaces of Rajasthan Tour. Mandawa houses the world famous Shekhawati Havelis and Mandawa Castle, a palace which has been transformed into a heritage hotel. The Shekhawati Havelis are the residences of the rich merchants and have excellent paintings depicting the Rajput lifestyles.
Day 04: Mandawa – Bikaner – Gajner - 240 kms by road
You will be driven to Bikaner after breakfast and checked into the Hotel Gajner Palace on arrival. Bikaner is a beautiful desert city with imposing palaces, exquisite temples, Havelis, camel breeding farms etc. The Junagarh Fort in Bikaner is a magnificent red sandstone complex with grand Rajput architecture. Karni Mata Temple is a very famous temple of Bikaner and the pilgrims feed the 20, 000 rats that reside in the temple complex. The Bhandasar Jain Temple is an excellent representation of Jain architecture, beliefs and way of life.
Day 05: Gajner – Jaisalmer - 260 kms by road
Enjoy the surroundings of Gajner Palace in the morning. It is a heritage hotel that is situated on lake banks. You will drive down to Jaisalmer after breakfast and check in at the hotel upon arrival.
Day 06 : Jaisalmer
You will visit the beautiful desert city of Jaisalmer after breakfast on day 6 of the Taj Mahal with Palaces of Rajasthan Tour. It is the most unusual and exotic desert town with a magnificent fort, exquisite Havelis and Jain temples. The Jaisalmer Fort is a magnificent structure in yellow sandstone, built by Raja Jaisal in 1156. It is located on top of Trikuta Hill and leaves the visitors spellbound by its sheer grandeur, 99 bastions and strong fortifications. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 07 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur – Luni - 310 kms by road
You will drive to Luni after an early breakfast and on the way visit the city of Jodhpur. Luni has the elegant Fort Chanwa. Jodhpur has the famous Mehrangarh Fort and renowned Umaid Bhawan Palace. Mehrangarh Fort is an imposing fortress situated atop a hill and is an important tourist destination. Umaid Bhawan Palace is an impressive structure in yellow sandstone and was the residence of the Jodhpur rulers. It has been converted into a heritage hotel. It also houses a museum.
Day 08: Luni – Udaipur - 240 kms by road
You will go for an early morning visit to the nearby villages and learn more about the villagers’ lifestyles along with enjoying tea with them. Then you will have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Udaipur. On arrival, you will check in at the hotel and relax.
Day 09: Udaipur
In the morning, you will go for a sightseeing trip of Udaipur. It is the romantic lake city which has the magnificent lake palace, Lake Pichhola, Jagdish Temple, Jag Niwas Palace, beautiful gardens and several other lakes and hills. Lake Pichhola has a beautiful location and is surrounded by picturesque hills on all sides. It houses the beautiful palace in its centre.
Day 10: Udaipur – Deogarh
You will drive towards Deogarh after breakfast and visit the famous Jain Temples of Ranakpur on the way. The Ranakpur Jain temples are an architectural marvel with excellent carvings. Delicious lunch is arranged at the Maharani Bagh. On arrival, you will check in at the hotel at Deogarh and retire for the day.
Day 11 : Deogarh – Khajrela - 184 kms
You will drive to Khajrela after breakfast.
Day 12 : Khajrela - Pushkar - 180 kms
You are escorted to Pushkar after breakfast, and on the way you will visit the renowned Dargah at Ajmer known as the Ajmer Shariff. At Pushkar, you will visit the famous Brahma Temple. Pushkar Lake is a sacred lake for the Hindus and the Lord Brahma Temple is the only temple in the world that is dedicated to Lord Brahma. Pushkar is world famous for its fair.
Day 13: Pushkar - Jaipur - 120 kms
After breakfast, a three hour drive will take you the Pink City of Jaipur, the picturesque capital of Rajasthan. In Jaipur, you will be seeing the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. City Palace is an impressive red sandstone structure with an interesting blend of the Rajput and Mughal styles of architectures. It also houses the museum. Hawa Mahal was a building exclusively for the royal women, with numerous windows of jaali work. The women could watch the happenings on the street below while remaining veiled. Jantar Mantar is one of the five observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh.
Day 14: Jaipur
Today you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of the impressive Amber Fort along with an exciting elephant ride. Amber Fort is a renowned tourist attraction and offers breathtaking views of Jaipur city.
Day 15: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra - 221 kms by road
After breakfast, you will be taken to Agra and visit Fatehpur Sikri on the route. Fatehpur Sikri is a magnificent sandstone fortress with Buland Darwaza, Salim Chisti’s Dargah and Hawa Mahal. It was built by Emperor Akbar and flourished during his reign. Buland Darwaza is the gateway to Fatehpur Sikri. Hawa Mahal is the recreational palace of the royalties. You will check in at the hotel on arrival in Agra.
Day 16: Agra – Delhi
On day 16 of the Taj Mahal with Palaces of Rajasthan Tour, you will go on a sightseeing trip of the Red Fort of Agra and Taj Mahal. The Agra Fort is an imposing structure and it was here that Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son, Aurangzeb. Taj Mahal is a monument of love built in white marble by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. In the evening, you are transferred to airport for flight to Delhi.
Day 17: Delhi – Abroad
You are assisted and transferred to Delhi airport for boarding homebound flight. This is the end of the tour and the guests can choose to return home or travel to another destination.
