Day 01The Golden Chariot Tours begin from Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka, the state which is known for huge technological progress and also for the historical aspects. Bangalore is a truly cosmopolitan city where thousands of tourists arrive from allover the world. High tech industries are based in this city. Day 2
By the 2nd day you arrive in the city of Mysore, one of the most historically important cities in India. This was the capital of the famous emperor of South India – Tipu Sultan. Visit Srirangapatna to see the fort of Tipu Sultan. This place is 14 kilometers away from the main city of Mysore. The Wellesley Bridge and the dungeons are quite impressive and all of them will tell you about the exploits of Tipu Sultan over the Britishers.
After visiting Srirangapatna you can go for a trip to Kabini, which is actually a wildlife preservation center. Rajiv Gandhi National Park is the most interesting place over here. There are some kinds of exotic Indian deer and antelopes which you will come across in these jungles.
Day 3
On the 3rd day the Golden Chariot Tours will take you to Mysore sightseeings. The Maharaja's palace is the most mentionable place in this city. Amba Vilas is the name of one of the biggest palaces which are located in this place. Then you can return to the train via Brindavan Garden – a place which can be seen in many of the Indian movies made during the 1960's. By the night the train leaves the city of Mysore.
Day 4
Halebidu and Belur are the two major destinations of this 4th day. Chennakeshava Temple is one of the prime attractions of these places. These places are very close to Hassan and this is why the train comes a halt at Hassan. After visiting the Hoysala temples you can come back to the train. All these places will let you know about different aspects of Hinduism. After having lunch in the train you can again go for a drive to Sravanbelagola, the place long known for the largest Jain Temple. Watch the statue of Lord Gomateswara which has a height of 58 ft. Following this train the passengers will come back to the train again and start their journey towards the TB Dam.
Day 5
By the 5th day you will reach the Hampi Station. This place is regarded as a World Heritage Center. Vijaynagara Empire of South India had its base in this town. Mughal invaders brought an end to this large empire. There are some of the ruins which belong to the 14th century. Also visit the Tunga Bhadra River and Anugendi Village to have some idea about the lifestyle of people in this part of the country. The train leaves TB Dam station in the evening.
Day 6
Pattadakal and Aihole are the two main destinations of this day. Badami is a town which is full of mythological elements. Here you will come across the beautiful statues of mythological characters. Nataraja statues with 81 dance poses are the most interesting thing that you will probably come across. Pattadakal on the other hand was the center for the Chalukya kings. Aihole will tell you about the South Indian temple architecture. You can also step in the nearby villages which are known for their traditional culture. At the end of the day you will leave for Goa, the famous Indian sea resort.
Day 7
By the 7th day the Golden Chariot Tours come to Goa. Golden sea beaches are the basic attraction of Goa and apart from them there are also some of the other things too. You can go for marketing in the city of Panjim, which is the capital of Goa. Goa also reflects the history of Portuguese rulers. At the end of the day, the journey begins to Bangalore.
Day 8
