Day 1On the very first day you have to arrive in New Delhi, the capital city of India. Indira Gandhi International Airport is a well known place from where you can get almost all the domestic as well as international flights. Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

Traveling there you will get to learn about the influence of Buddhism on Indian culture. Mahabodhi Tree is one of the most visited places in Bodhgaya where Gautam Buddha achieved his knowledge or “Bodhi”. Day 5

Day 6
On the 6th day you have to return to Gaya. Trains to Varanasi are available from this place. Varanasi is one of the most reputed pilgrimages in India. Day 7

Day 8

There are trains available from Varanasi to Agra and catch one of them in the afternoon. It will take an overnight journey to reach Agra from Varanasi.
Day 9
Agra is the city which has many things to offer. The world famous Taj Mahal is located here. This is the creation of Mughal emperor Shahjahan. He built it in the memory of his beloved wife. The 9th night can be spent in any hotel in this city after completing all the sightseeing activities.
Day 10
Catch a morning train from Agra to Delhi. Reaching Delhi you have to take a drive to Rishikesh which is a famous city of North India for religious reasons. Ganga Aarti Puja is a famous ritual in Rishikesh and you can easily participate in this activity. You may spent the night in the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in this town.
Day 11
The 11th day can be easily spent in Rishikesh. Here in this city you will have a lot of opportunities to participate in the Yoga and meditation classes. Do not miss out some of the local attractions like Nilkantha Mahadeva Temple, Bharat Mandir, Hanuman Temple and many others as well.
Day 12
Apart from the religious rituals there in Rishikesh there are some of the cultural programs which take place regularly. So you may spend the 12th day watching all these Bhajan, Kirtan and lectures which are given by some of the well known scholars of Hinduism.
Day 13
On the 13th day you have to come back to Delhi. The distance of 224 kilometers have to be covered throughout the day. After reaching Delhi, you can spend the rest of the time for free activities.
Day 14
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal which is a neighboring country of India. So, on the 14th day start the journey to Kathmandu the city which will definitely give you some clear idea about the Indian influence on the Nepalese culture. It will be the best for you to take a flight to Kathmandu from the Delhi airport. If you can reach the city by afternoon you can try out a little sightseeing in the evening.
Day 15
Patan is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Nepal and so, at the very beginning of the 15th day, set out for Patan. There are several travel agencies available in Kathmandu who will guide you to this place. Keep the evening free for the independent activities in Kathmandu. During this time you may visit the local market and check out things available there.
Day 16
This day has to be kept for another destination which is known as Bhaktapur. Close to Kathmandu, this town has a lot of thing to offer to the tourists coming here. Again leave the afternoon for other activities in the capital city of this country.
Day 17
This is the last day of this North India pilgrimage tour and on this day you will arrive Delhi from Kathmandu by any flight which is available. From Delhi, you can go back to your own places.
