India Temple Tour

Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai
On the first day of India Temple Tour you will arrive in the Metro city of Mumbai – the capital of the state of Maharashtra. This famous City which is the Financial Capital of the Country is known as City of Dreams. The glamour and glitz of the city is world renowned. All the major corporate offices of companies are located in India. It was earlier known as Bombay. Check into the hotel and spend the remaining day at leisure.

Day 02: In Mumbai
Mumbai also offers ancient carvings and sculptures at the Elephanta caves. The next day morning pay a visit to the famous Elephanta Caves. These caves date back to the 7th century and are famous for the stone carving of Trimurti or the Trinity. Spend the afternoon visiting Museum, Jain Temples, Gateway of India and Hanging Garden. It is the house to the Indian film industry also known as Bollywood.

Day 03: Mumbai to Aurangabad
The city of Aurangabad boasts of world heritage site of the Ajanta caves. On the third day of the India Temple Tour depart to Aurangabad by air. Aurangabad was established by Aurangzeb and is named after him. Check into a hotel in Aurangabad. On this day you will visit various interesting places in Aurangabad such as the Kailash Temple and Ellora Caves, both of which are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kailash Temple is carved from a single rock. While the Ellora caves are combination of the Jain, Hindu and Buddhist architectures.

Day 04: Aurangabad
The fourth day of the India Temple Tour is also dedicated for visit to several other places in Aurangabad. Catch up the exciting view of the Ajanta Caves that is now a world heritage site. The well preserved caves are a treat for art lovers. These 2nd century BC caves are constructed in a horse shoe shape. These are two caves. The first cave has more carvings on the pillars and facades. Inside the second cave, you can see beautiful paintings. After the wonderful sightseeing return back to hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 05: Aurangabad to Udaipur
The city of Udaipur is dotted with numerous beautiful lakes that come as a eye soothing site amid the arid landscape of the land. On the Fifth day of the Temple Tour of India, fly from Aurangabad to Udaipur – which is often called the city of lakes. Sojourn to the magnificent palaces and lakes in this important city of Jaipur.. Check in into the luxurious hotel in Udaipur and head towards for a sightseeing tour of places closer to Udaipur. These places include Nagada, the Palace of Udaipur and Ekling. You can enjoy a boat ride at Lake Pichola

Day 06: Udaipur to Jaipur
Jaipur is famous for its royal heritage sites scattered all over the city. In the morning of sixth day, travel from city of lakes to Jaipur – the Pink city . This renowned City is the capital of Rajasthan. Relax for a while at the hotel in Jaipur and pay visit to some magnificent palaces and Forts in Jaipur . The City Palace ,The Amer Fort , Jantar Mantar an observatory and Hawa Mahal the palace of winds are some famous tourist sites in Jaipur .

Day 07: Jaipur to Agra
In the morning you will visit the famous Amber Fort, a perfect example of Rajasthani architecture. Get the thrilling experience of Elephant ride. In the afternoon you will be departed to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Check in to the hotel in Agra and relax your mind and body for the rest of the day. Agra is also famous for the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort and its Mogul gardens that are the quintessential marks of the Mogul rule in the city.

Day 08: Agra to Khajuraho
On the eighth day of the India Temple Tour pay a visit to “Wonder in Marble”, Taj Mahal – a monument of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Also sojourn to the Red Fort, built in Red Stone. Further move towards the Khajuraho by air. Check into the hotel in Khajuraho and stay at leisure for the rest of the day. Day 09: Khajuraho to Varanasi
The ninth day of the tour is kept for the excursion to the 10th century temples in the city. These temples were constructed by the Chandela rulers. You will travel to the pilgrimage destination of Varanasi – the holy city in Uttar Pradesh by air. Relax yourself at the hotel in Varanasi.

Day 10: Varanasi to Bhubaneswar
The city of Varanasi is Hindu spirituality personified; everywhere there are sites that tell of Hindu culture and its rich past. Have a breathtaking experience of early morning boat ride in the mighty river Ganges. Take the view of beautiful sunrise. Next place you will visit is Sarnath, a Nirvana place of Gautam Buddha. Day 11: Bhubaneswar/ Konark/ Puri

Day 12: Bhubaneswar to Calcutta
Visit to the Rajrani, Mukteshwar and Lingraj temples in Bhubaneswar. Travel to Calcutta by air in the evening. Calcutta is one of the metropolitan cities in India.

Day 13: Calcutta to Katmandu
The city of Calcutta is rich in its colonial and Indian architectural sites. Pay a visit to the largest and the oldest museums in Calcutta. In the afternoon you will fly to Katmandu, Nepal. A stay is arranged at the hotel in Katmandu. Katmandu is a popular hill station.

Day 14: In Katmandu
The Nepali city of Kathmandu is famous for its Hindu temples and Himalayan beauty. On the 14th day of India Temple Tour, you can sojourn to the Patan and temple of Swayambhunath

Day 15: In Katmandu
Visit to some more places in Katmandu such as Bodhnath and Pashupatinath. Tourists can enjoy an excursion to the town of ancient architecture and arts, Bhadgoan.

Day 16: In Katmandu
You can spend the 16th day in leisure at Mountain flight over the Himalayas and Dhulikhel.

Day 17: Katmandu to Delhi
Spend the first part of the day at the hotel in Katmandu. Fly back to Delhi in the afternoon. Check into the hotel in Delhi.
