Day 1 : Mumbai
The commercial hub of India, Mumbai, will be our first destination. Take a tour of the city in the afternoon and visit places like Hanging Gardens, Marine Drive, Kamla Nehru Park, Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India. Apart from this, you can also drive through the Crawford market and Flora Fountain. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Mumbai-Aurangabad
The next morning catch a flight to Aurangabad. After arriving at Aurangabad, reach the hotel and take some rest and visit the nearby markets and the shopping malls. You may also indulge in different types of leisure activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 : Aurangabad
The next day visit the Ajanta Caves. While exploring these caves, you will come across the Buddhist sculptures and frescoes. All these date back to the 2nd Century BC. Do not forget to visit the Kailash Temple which is the best example of a rock-cut temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Aurangabad-Hyderabad
Next morning explore the Ellora caves which is around 29kms from Aurangabad. Here you will find 34 rock cut temples famous for their Jain, Buddhist and Hindu art. At 1200 hours, check out from the hotel and reach the railway station to catch the Hydrabad train at night.
Day 5 : Arriving at Hyderabad
You will be arriving at Hyderabad in the morning and then take a transfer to the hotel. After taking some rest, explore the major attractions of the city – Char Minar, Salar Jung Museum and the market places. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 6 : Hyderabad
Visit Golconda and other nearby places. Golconda used to be famous for its diamond mines and a fort which was established in the 13th century. The fort is famous for its acoustical system. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 7 : Hyderabad-Chennai :
The next morning, take a flight to Chennai. After arriving, take a transfer to the hotel and in the afternoon visit the famous museum to explore the Art and Bronze Gallery. You can also visit the popular flower and fruit market, Marina Beach, High Court Fort Museum, Santhome Cathedral and the Snake Fort.
Day 8 : Chennai
Visit the world famous Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is situated 75km southwest of Chennai and is one of the most sacred places in terms of Hindu pilgrimage. It is also the seat of Shankarachraya. This place is also famous for woven cottons and Kanjivaram Silk Sarees. So happy shopping! In the same day visit the shore temples of Mahabalipuram. You will also find some of the best rock-cut monuments, base reliefs and monolithic structures.
Day 9 : Chennai-Mysore
The next morning, take a transfer to the railway station and board the train to Mysore. On arriving at Mysore, take a transfer to the hotel. Take rest and enjoy the leisure actives.
Day 10 : Mysore
Explore Mysore as it has a lot of things to explore. Arrange a full day excursion of Halebid and Belur. When you are visiting Belur, do not forget to visit the 900 years old Chenna Kesava Temple. It is also a n example of the famous Hoysala Art. At Halebid, visit the Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples built during the 12th century. Also visit Shravanbelagola which is a 1000 years old 17 meters high monolithic statue of Gomteshwara. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Mysore
Go for a morning tour of Mysore. In this tour visit the Art Gallery, the Maharaja Palace and the Chamundi Hill. Visit the Chamusdeshwari temple on the Chamundi Hills. While returning, explore the Nandi Bull. Return to the hotel and take rest.
Day 12 : Mysore-Bangalore
The next morning leave for Bangalore by road and take a transfer to the hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 13 : Bangalore-Mumbai
In the morning, take a transfer to the airport and catch the Mumbai flight. Spend the afternoon indulging in various leisure activities and visit the famous shopping malls of Mumbai. Enjoy a overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 : Mumbai
Take a morning transfer to the airport in order to catch the return flight.
