Day 1: Chennai
On day 1, you will be arriving at Chennai. Take a transfer to Chennai and spend half of the day in the sightseeing tour of Chennai. While visiting Chennai, explore the places like Fort Museum, St. Cathedral, National Art Gallery and the Kapaleeswara temple. In the evening, visit the markets of Chennai. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Kanchipuram
On the next day, drive to one to famous places in Chennai – Kanchipuram. It is known as the city of temples. Apart from this, Kanchipuram is also famous for Kanjiwaram silk. Do not forget to visit the temples. Also do not miss the handloom center. Apart from this, also visit the Five Rathas, Arjuna's Penance, Shore temples, Krishna's butterball and others. In the evening return to the hotel and take rest.
Day 3: Pondicherry
Pondicherry is famous among the people because it has once been a French Colony. Apart from this, it was also inhabited by the Romans and the Greeks. Presently, it is a seat of yoga and meditation. While in Pondicherry, do not forget to visit the Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. Return back to the hotel in the evening and take rest.
Day 4: Tanjore
From Pondicherry, drive to Tanjore the next. While driving to Tanjore, visit some of the attractions like Kumbakonam and Chidambaram Nataraja Temple enroute. After reaching Tanjore, take a transfer to a hotel. Go for a sight-seeing at Tanjore and visit places like Big temple and Saraswati Mahal which is the ancient Library. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 5: Madurai
While you are driving from Tanjore to Madurai, visit Srirangam and Trichy Rock Fort Temple on the way. After reaching Madurai, take a transfer in a hotel. In the afternoon visit Meenakshiamman temple and Tirumalai Nayak's Palace which are the major attractions of the region. In the evening return back to the hotel.
Day 6: Kodaikanal
You next destination will be Kodaikanal which is a popular hill station of the region among the tourists. After arriving take accommodation in a hotel. Do not miss the Bryant's Park, Silver Cascade, Lake, Valley View in Kodaikanal. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 7: Ooty
Ooty, “the queen of Hill stations” in Tamil Nadu will be your next destination. After reaching Ooty, take accommodation in a hotel. While sightseeing at Ooty, go for the Boating and also visit the Rose Garden and Botanical Gardens. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Departure
The next day drive to Coimbatore and from the airport or railway station at Coimbatore take a train or board a flight for a return journey for your home.
