Some of the major destinations this trip will be covering includes Chennai, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Tanjore, Madurai, Periyar, Kumarkom, Allepey, Cochin, Ooty, Mysore and Bangalore.

South India with Kerala The travel itinerary for South India with Kerela is mentioned below :

Day : 1 Arrival at Chennai
On arrival at Chennai, take a transfer to the hotel. Go for a sightseeing of Chennai to see some of the major attractions of the city like National Art Gallery and museum, Cathedral of Santhome, the Mylapore temple and St. Mary's church. However, you should note here that museums closed on Fridays and National holidays.

Day : 2 Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
From Chennai leave for Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram. Kanchipuram is 71 kms from Chennai and is known for large number of temples. It is one of the sacred cities in India known for Hindu pilgrimage. After exploring Kanchipuram drive towards Mahabalipuram which is 55 kms away. This place is famous for its shore temples. Return to take rest at the hotel.

Day : 3 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
In the morning, drive to Pondicherry from Mahabalipuram which is 130 kms and will take around 3 hours. This place is famous as an old French settlement. Check in at a hotel after arrival. In the afternoon go for a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry. Do not miss Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. Return in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day : 4 Trichy - Tanjore
In the morning, leave for Tanjore from Pondicherry. It is 190 kms from Pondicherry and will take 5 hours. While driving visit the Rock Fort temple in Trichy. On arriving at Tanjore, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon go for a sightseeing of Tanjore and visit the major temples of the place. Do not miss the Brihadeswara temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day : 05 Cochin - Ooty
The next morning, drive from Tanjore and reach Cochin. You can drive from Tanjore to Cochin or you can also go by train. After reaching Cochin, go for a sightseeing tour of Cochin. Visit the Mattenchery Dutch Palace, Jew Town, Jewish synagogue and Fort Cochin area. In the drive to Ooty from Cochin.

Day : 6 Ooty
Keep this whole day for visiting the beautiful attractions of Ooty. Ooty is a famous hill station in South India. Try exploring the natural surroundings of the place. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day : 7 Ooty - Mysore
Take rest in the morning. You can even visit the shopping malls and the local shops. In the afternoon leave for Mysore by a car. You will reach Mysore in the evening and then check in a hotel.

Day : 8 Mysore
The next day go for a sightseeing tour of Mysore. This place is famous for various items made of wood, ivory and sandalwood. It is also famous for silk which is popularly known as “Mysore Silk”. Apart from this, visit the Maharaja Palace, Brindavan Gardens, Zoological Garden and the Mysore Arts & Crafts Center. The Brindavan Gardens is illuminated in the evening. You can also attend a musical fountain show around 1900 Hours. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day : 9 Mysore - Bangalore
Proceed towards Bangalore the next morning. After reaching Bangalore, explore the Cubbon Park which was built in the year 1864 in the heart of the city. Apart from this, visit The Bangalore Palace, fort and Tipu Sultan's palace, Vidhan Soudha, High Court, bull temple, Government Museum and the Venkatappa Art gallery. Also visit the beautiful gardens at the Lal Bagh which was built by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan in 18th century. In the evening, take a transfer to the airport to board a flight to Chennai.
