Day 01: Arrival at Chennai
At the day 1 of your trip, you arrive at the Chennai Airport. After arrival get a transfer to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 02: Chennai
Chennai is one of the jewels of South India, so do not miss any of the attractions of the place. In this city, you will find the world famous Marina Beach which is the second longest in the world. Apart from this, visit the Santhome Cathedral, Parthsarthy Temple, Guindy National Park, archaeological section and bronze gallery of the Museum, Kapaleeshwar Temple, East India Company's St. George Forte and Snake Park. In the evening enjoy the various leisure activities and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Kanchipuram
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and drive towards Kanchipuram. Check in at a hotel. This is among the seven most sacred Hindu pilgrimage centers of India. There are 18 temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Adi Shankararchya's Ashram and 108 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This place is also famous for its hand loom and cotton industry. Kanchipuram is also known to produce best silk sarees in the whole country. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram
Leave for Mahabalipuram the next morning. Check in at a hotel. It will be a full day excursion to the shore temples of Mahabalipuram. This place is also known as Mamallapuram. This place is famous all over the world as an “open stone art gallery”. Here you will find a large number of chariot-shaped temples known as 'Rathas'. Other than this, you will also find a large number of artificial caves made from the volcanic rocks of Deccan India. However, the best part of the place is the Shore Temples. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry
Pondicherry is 132 Kms from Mahabalipuram. So have your breakfast and drive to Pondicherry. Check-in at hotel in Pondicherry. Pondicherry was inhabited by a the Greeks, Romans and French at different point of time, so it has a cosmopolitan outlook. This place is a home to the grand boulevards as well as colonial mansions which include Ananda Ranga Pillai's Mansion, Goubert Avenue, Aayi Mandapam, Palais du Gouvernement, French War Memorial, Botanical Garden and Aquarium, the Anglo-French textile mill, churches, Aurobindo Ashram, the Statue of Dupleix, 19th Century Lighthouse, Romain Rolland Library, Auroville and Matri Mandir. At night take rest in the hotel.

Day 06: Pondicherry-Trichy
Trichy is 243 Kms from Pondicherry. So you can enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and leave for Trichy via Kumbakonam, Swamimalai and Tanjore. Check in at a hotel there. Kumbakonam is a small temple city situated on the banks of Cauvery. Some of the highlights of the city are Mahamaham festival which is held in every 12 years, around sixty temples, various small-scale industries and prestigious educational institutions. Do not forget to visit places like Sri Nageswaran Temple, Sri Kasi Vishwanathar Temple, Government Arts College or the 'Cambridge of South India', Ramaswamy Temple, Someshwar Temple, Amman And Shiva Temple, Sankara Mutt Kumbeswarar Temple, Sri Abhimugheswarar Temple, Sarangapani Temple, Sri Gowthameswarar Temple, Brahman Temple and Raghavendra Mutt.

Thanjavur is also known as Tanjore and is famous as the 'Rice Bowl of South India'. It is the centre of Tamil literature. Visit the circular building of Tamil University and the Brihadeeswarar Temple built by Raja Chola. Swamimalai is 30 km from Tanjore and is one of the six abodes of Lord Skanda.

Day 07: Trichy
After having your breakfast, go for the sightseeing tour of Trichy. It is also known as Tiruchirappalli and is the fourth largest city of Tamil Nadu. Some of the major attractions of the place are several Churches, Colleges Rock Fort and Missions of the city. This place is also known for artificial diamonds and cigars.

Day 08: Trichy-Madurai
Madurai is 142 Kms from Trichy. So after having your breakfast, leave for Madurai. On arrival at Madurai, check-in at hotel. This place is famous for the Meenakshi Temple which is shaped like a lotus. Its original name was 'Madhurapuri' as it is believed that Lord Shiva showered heavenly nectar on the day it was named. Madurai is also famous for the Jasmine flowers. Do not miss the night ceremony at Minakshi Temple. Stay ovenright at the hotel.

Day 09: Madurai
The next day go for a full-day excursion at Rameshwaram which is close to Madurai. This is connected to the mainland of India through the help of the Pampan bridge. The world famous Ramanathaswami temple is situated here. The temple is built in the spot where Lord Rama worshiped Lord Shiva. The temple has 1220 m long corridor which is the longest in any temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Madurai-Periyar
You can drive to Periyar after breakfast which is around 160kms away from Madurai. Check in at a hotel after arrival. Go for a boat cruise on Lake Periyar and visit the Periyar Sanctuary which is the best-known wildlife sanctuary in South India. Apart from this also visit Kerala's Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve. This sanctuary is renowned for wild Indian elephants as well as a century old artificial lake near the Western ghats. Some of the other attractions of the sanctuary are Nilgiri Tahrs, Bisons, Nilgiri Langoors, Deers and Antelopes. You will also find 100 species of butterfly and 240 species of birds and go for a tour of the famous aromatic spice gardens. At night, take rest at the hotel.

Day 11: Periyar-Kumarakom
Kumarakonam is at a drive of 114 Kms from Periyar. Have your breakfast and drive to Kumarakom. After arrival check-in at hotel and stay overnight.

Day 12: Kumarakom
Situated at the banks of the Vembanad Lake in Kerala, it is known as the “rice bowl of Kerala”. You will find a beautiful 14-acre bird sanctuary in Kumarakom is visited by the migratory birds which includes Darters, Herons, Teals, Egrets and Siberian Storks. You can go for a boat cruising in Kettuvallams which is the best way to find them.

Day 13: Kumarakom-Alleppey and Cochin
Have your breakfast at Kumarakom and take a backwater cruise to Alleppey. While cruising through Azhikkal Canal, you will pass by Swamy Canal, Meenappally Kayal, Vatta Kayal, Venattukadu Canal, Muttael Canal, Kuppapuram, Pallathuruthy, Kainakary Church Canal, Aakkathara Canal and Paddy fields.

Alleppey is an important trade center and is famous for inland canals. Some of things which you can enjoy looking at includes fishing, coir-making industry, toddy tapping and prawn farming. In the afternoon drive to Cochin which is 64 km from Alleppey and check-in at hotel.

Cochin, also known as Kochi is famous as 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. The foreign influence on the architectural styles of its monuments will definitely attract your attention. Apart from this, visit the spice markets, Portuguese palace, India's first European church, Chinese fishing nets, Jewish synagogue, Dutch homes and Kathakali dance performances. Also go for an evening sunset cruise in Cochin.

Day 14: Cochin-Bangalore and Mysore
Next day, board a flight to Bangalore and take a transfer to the hotel. Some of major destinations you can visit include Bull Temple, Gangadhareshware temple or Cave Temple, the Dharmaraja Temple, Ganapathi Temple, Tippu Palace, St. Mary's Church, Gandhi Bhavan, the famous racecourse and Vidhana Soudha, 17th century Venkataramanaswamy temple, Lal Bagh, Botanical Gardens and Ravindra Kalakshetra. Later on enroute Mysore, visit Srirangapatnam. Situated on the banks of river Cauvery, you will find the Ranganathaswamy temple. Tippu's Mosque is another famous spot. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Mysore
The next day go for a full-day tour of Mysore and also visit Somnathpur. Also known as “the City of Palaces”, in Mysore, you can visit Durbar Hall, Kalyana Mandap, Golden Royal Elephant Throne and Gallery. Some of the other highlights are St. Philomena's Church, Nandi bull, Chamundeswari Temple and the Brindavan Gardens famous for musical and colorful fountains.

Somnathpur is 45 kms away from Mysore. There is a 13th century temple with star-shaped base decorated and miniature masonry elephants guarding the temple famous for the Hoysala architecture. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Mysore-Bangalore
Have your breakfast and drive to Bangalore airport for your return flight.
