Day 01: Arrival in Bangalore
The first day of South India Cultural Tour begins with your arrival in Bangalore. Also known as Benglaru it has good air, rail and road connectivity. It is India's third-most populous city and fifth-largest metropolitan area.You will be well assisted to the hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at a luxurious and comfortable hotel in Bangalore.
Day 02: Bangalore
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will visit some interesting places in Bangalore. These include the Nandi Temple, Botanical Gardens at Lal Baugh and Vidhan Soudha. The Nandi Temple is an ancient temple and was built in 1537. It is one of the rarest temples, and is built exclusively for Nandi, the Bull who is the “Vahana” (Vehicle) of Lord Shiva. The temple is also famous for one of the largest idols around the world. The Vidhan Soudha is the State Legislature . It is a fine architectural structure consisting of Dravidian and Rajasthani styles. Relax for an overnight stay at the hotel in Bangalore. The Botanical Gardens at Lal Baugh have beautifully landscaped gardens with exotic species of plants and flowers.
Day 03: Bangalore / Srirangapatnam / Mysore
On the third day of the South India Cultural Tour, you will travel to the famous city of Mysore. This district is well known for the collection of various crafts, arts and architectures. Hence, it is fondly called as the cultural capital of Karnataka. The place is also famous for the Mysore Palace, a residence of the Mysore rulers. Later you will be taken to visit the magnificent Srirangapatnam. It was the capital of the kingdom of Tipu Sultan. Check in the hotel at Mysore and relax for the night.
Day 04: Mysore to Madikeri
On the fourth day, get ready to visit the “Scotland of India”, Madikeri. Check in at the hotel in Madikeri and relax for a while. There are many places that are worth visiting in Madikeri. These include the Nisrgadhama where you can enjoy the deer park and elephant ride; Abbey Falls which is 5 km from Madikeri and Madikeri Fort. After the magnificent views in Madikeri, go back to a hotel in Mysore to relax.
Day 05: Mysore to Hassan
On the fifth day, you will travel to beautiful Hassan, the next destination in the South India Cultural Tour. At Hassan, you will check in the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel.
Day 06 : Hassan to Shravanbelagola to Hassan
The sixth day is dedicated for a visit to the famous Shravanbelagola. It is one of the most sacred places for the Jains. Shravanbelgola has a huge monolithic statue of Bahubali, the first sage of the Jains. Take pleasure in the awesome architectures of the Jain Temples. Spend your evening at a hotel in Hassan.
Day 07 : Hassan to Hospet
On the seventh day, you will travel to Hospet. It lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. The sights that are worth visiting in Hospet are the Channakeshava Temple, Halebid and Belur. Enjoy a stay at the hotel in Hospet for the night. The history depicts that the Channakeshava temple was built to honor the conversion of the brave King Vishnuvardhana from Jainism to Vaishnavism.
Day 08: In Hospet
Spend your whole day relaxing at the hotel in Hospet. Experience the exotic and magnificent locations in Hospet. It is better known for its rich and varied reserves of iron and steel.
Day 09: Hospet / Pattadakal / Aihole / Badami
The next morning you will travel to the next destination, Badami. While traveling towards Badami, you will visit two tourist attractions, Pattadakal which is known for the Dravidian architecture and Aihole which has approximately 125 temples that are built in different styles. After sight seeing you can rest at the hotel in Badami.
Day 10: In Badami
You can visit some interesting places in Badami on the 10th day of the South India Cultural Tour. Badami is known for its four cave temples. The other attractions include sculptures, forts and temples that are cut out from rock. Out of these, the most famous tourist attraction is the Bhutantha Temple which houses an 18-armed Shiva, Ganesh, Mahishamardini Durga, Varaha and Nrisingha deities of the Vishnu.
Day 11 : Badami to Belgaum to Goa
Start your journey towards Goa in the morning. Enroute you can visit the intermediate destination Belgaum. There are several places that can be visited in Belgaum such as the Ananthashayana, which has a rock statue of the Vishnu, the Kapileshwara temple, which is said to be the oldest temple around and the Kamala Basti, which has a Neminatha idol in black stone. After these visits you can continue traveling to Goa.
Day 12 : Arrival in Goa
You will reach Goa on the 12th day of the tour. You will be spending the whole day at a hotel in Goa. The state is known for its beautiful architectural marvels, churches, temples and sun kissed beaches. The native language is Konkani, but English is also well understood by the masses in Goa. The entire tour in Goa will help you take a glimpse of the churches such as the St Francis Xavier’s Church in Old Goa, the Shantadurga temple in Ponda etc.
Day 13: In Goa
The 13th day of the tour is one more day of relaxation at the Goa Hotel. You can have a tasty Saraswat cuisine with the Portuguese desserts.
Day 14: In Goa
On this day also you can take ample rest by relaxing at the same hotel. You can go for leisurely seaside walks. Enjoy some mouth watering Goan delicacies at the hotel.
Day 15: Goa to Mumbai and Back to Home
Pack your bags to travel to Mumbai, the last destination of the magnificent South India Cultural Tour. Mumbai is known as the city that never sleeps. You will reach Mumbai to board a flight or a train to go back home or to the next destination on your travel list.
