Day 01: Srinagar
Kashmir is well known as Paradise on Earth and is world famous for its superb natural beauty. The land of Kashmir is endowed with the mighty Himalayas, snow clad peaks and slopes, breathtaking sceneries, lakes, fragrant flowers, well laid gardens, fruit orchards and Chinars etc.
You are received and welcomed at the Srinagar airport on the first day of Discover Kashmir Tour. From the airport you are assisted and transferred to either a hotel or houseboat. Here you are offered a welcome drink and the rest of the day is utilized for relaxing. Overnight stay is at the hotel or on a houseboat. From Delhi, Srinagar is 876 kms north of Delhi.
Srinagar is a lake city located in the heart of the Kashmir Valley. It is world famous for its Dal and Nagin Lakes which in itself is connected to a number of other lakes of the Kashmir valley, Char Chinar an island in the Dal Lake is surrounded by the Chinar trees, mosques, temples, handicrafts and dry fruits.
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Srinagar
After a sumptuous Kashmiri breakfast you will set out for a visit to the Mughal Gardens, Chashmi-e –Shahi better known as the Royal Spring, Shalimar Bagh known as the Abode of Love and the Nishat Bagh which is the Garden of pleasure. In the afternoon you will enjoy a Shikara the wooden boat ride on the scenic and magnificent Dal Lake. Enjoy exclusive Kashmiri cuisine for dinner. Overnight stay is at the houseboat or a hotel.
Day 03: Srinagar – Gulmarg
On day 3 of the Discover Kashmir Tour you proceed for an entire day trip of Gulmarg after breakfast. It is the most beautiful summer resort in the Kashmir Valley. Gulmarg is popular and famous for its highest golf course and excellent skiing slopes. The tourists can enjoy a pony ride or a cable car ride known as the Gondola to Khillanmarg (at own cost). Overnight stay would be arranged at a hotel in Gulmarg.
Day 04: Srinagar - Pahalgam
After breakfast, you travel by road to Pahalgam. It is the most sought out place for an adventure sports enthusiast. It offers some of the wonderful treks, skiing, mountaineering and camping sites. After your arrival, you check in at a hotel and have your lunch. You can also go for a pony ride at a place closer to Pahalgam. Later on you would return back to the hotel for an over night stay.
Day 05: Srinagar – Sonmarg
On this day you travel to Sonmarg. It is known as the Meadow of Gold and is located at a height of 2690 meters. The beautiful drive takes you through long winding roads alongside mountains, valleys and rivers. The tourists can take a pony ride (at own cost) to the Thajiwas Glacier, where the snow remains throughout the year. A horse or a pony can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier. After the trip, you return to Srinagar in the evening for overnight stay at the houseboat or hotel.
Day 06: Srinagar
You have free time after the breakfast till departure time. You are transferred to Srinagar airport by car for the outbound flight.
