Day 01: Arrival in Chennai
On arrival at the Chennai airport the guests are received by representatives at the airport and then transferred to a hotel for an overnight stay. Chennai is the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city also is the home of top business offices of the country. The dinner is served at the hotel that you check in. Formerly known as Madras , Chennai is the fourth largest metropolitan city in India and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.
Day 02: Chennai – Mahabalipuram (Mammalpuram)
After relaxing at the hotel in Chennai, the tourists are taken for sightseeing tour of the city of Chennai. Tourists visit different sites or major attraction places in Chennai that includes San Thome Cathedral which is built over the tomb of St Thomas one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ .Another important attraction in this Capital city of Tamil Nadu is the visit to Fort St. George which was the first British fortress in India . After the tour of the beautiful city of Chennai, the tour leaves for Mammalpuram also known as Mahabalipuram which is a very ancient city of South India. The city is now a World heritage site. There, the tourists halt for an overnight stay at a luxurious hotel in the city.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
After having breakfast early in the morning, the Complete Tour of South India leaves for viewing different sites at the city of Mammalpuram. This destination is now also known as the world heritage site. The sights include the Shore Temple – a popular temple that overlooks the Bay of Bengal, the Five (Panch) Rathas of historical importance, and Arjuna’s Penance. Day 04: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore – Departure
After an overnight stay in a hotel at Mahabalipuram, the tour leaves for Tanjore which is known as the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu, early in the morning. There the tourists visit the famous Brihadeshwara Temple which a beautiful example of the Chola architecture. The best temples in South India, the Brihadeeswarar Temple or the Big Temple built by the greatest Chola Emperor Raja Raja Chola, is that dynasty's finest contribution to Dravidan temple architecture.
