Day 01: Guwahati
The Assam Valley Tour will start from Guwahati. You will be arriving in the evening train. After arriving take a transfer to the hotel and take rest.
Day 02: Jorhat
In the early morning next day, drive towards Jorhat which is 207kms from Guwahati. Visit the various Tea Gardens in and around Jorhat. Visit some of the exotic islands located here like Majuli, Satras and Vaishnavism. Also enjoy the traditional Assamese food and the cultural programs. Stay overnight at Jorhat.
Day 03: Sibasagar
Sibasagar is the ancient capital of the Ahom Kings and is known for a large number of ancient temples and monuments. After exploring the temples visit Gaurisagar, Rang Ghar, Charaideo, Gargaon palace, Sibasagar Tank and Tai Museum. Come back to Jorhat in the evening and stay overnight.
Day 04: Toklai and Kaziranga
The next day early in the working leave from Jorhat to visit the Toklai Research Station. You will know a lot about tea-plantation. After having your lunch leave for the Kaziranga National Park. In the evening, visit the Kabri villages of the region. Here you will witness some of the traditional old roof huts and also see the rearing of silk worms. You can also visit the nearby shops famous for local handicraft items. Stay overnight at the guest house here.
Day 05: Kaziranga
On this day, go for an elephant ride and explore the jungles of Kaziranga. While you are enjoying this ride, also try looking for various animals for which the region is famous such as - hidden tigers, one horned Rhinos, elephant grazing in the field and various species of birds. You can take a jeep and go for a jungle safari. Apart from this, you can also indulge in bird watching. Spend the night at the tourist lodge here.
Day 06: Guwahati
On this day, have your breakfast and then drive to Guwahati. Take some rest in the afternoon and they go for a evening river cruise in the Brahmaputra river. Return and stay overnight stay at the hotel in Guwahati.
Day 07: Departure
From Guwahati catch a train for your return journey.
