Day 01: Arrival in New Delhi
The city of Delhi is a wonderful blend of the modern and the traditional and that is nowhere evident in the historical monuments of the city. You will arrive at the International Airport of Delhi – the capital of India during midnight. Our distinguished guest shall be given a warm welcome and guided to your selected hotel room. You will be unwinding yourself for fascinating South India entourage at the city hotel room.
Day 02: Delhi
You will be having your first refreshing morning breakfast at your hotel room itself and get set for a galore of sightseeing places in Delhi. The city of Delhi has two sprawling wings known with their distinct identity tags as Old Delhi and New Delhi. After the sightseeing of Delhi is over, you will return to your hotel room in Delhi and stay overnight. The places of tourist attraction in Delhi are Rashtrapati Bhawan or the residence of the President of India, India Gate a war memorial, Jama Masjid one of the largest mosques in India, the famous Chandni Chowk market that has retained its existence since the Mogul rule.
Day 03: Delhi – Agra (Distance by road 250 km/Approx Journey Time- 6 Hours)
The city of Agra witnesses an influx of hundreds of tourists every day at its famous love monument-the Taj Mahal. You will be served with a delectable morning breakfast at your room. After which you will get readied for the sightseeing visit to Agra, which is the city of raveling monuments reminiscent of rich Mughal Era. There will be passing visit to a place known as Sikandra Fort which is 12 kms from the tomb of Emperor Akbar, before you land-up in this magnificent fairy tale city. You should surely visit Taj Mahal - the monument of love built by Shah Jahan in memory his wife Mumtaz Mahal. You will have your stay at your choicest of room in Agra hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur
The city of Jaipur is the most sought after destination for visitors in Rajasthan due to its impressive array of heritage monuments. You will be relishing your morning breakfast before you will be in for a shopping fantasia in the city of Jaipur. Go for grand shopping in the pink city full of handicrafts and traditional Rajasthani artifacts. Once you have done with your insatiable shopping spree at Jaipur, you will take a dinner and start for Delhi once again. You will be resting at the hotel room at Delhi overnight before preparing for a rollicking South India tour.
Day 06: Delhi-Chennai
After you arrive at the Chennai Airport, you will be transferred to the elegant Le Meridian hotel, which is adjacent to the airport. Chennai formerly known as Madras is the capital of Tamil Nadu.
Day 07: Chennai-Trivandrum
Trivandrum in Kerala offers exotic and rejuvenating Ayurvedic treatments for the tourists. Since this day onwards your dreamy travelogue will commence and in tune with which, you will be transferred to one of the most elegant Ayurvedic resorts known as Somatheeram Ayurvedic Resort.
Day 08: Ayurvedic Beach Resort
The Ayurvedic beach resort offers an array of refreshing Ayurvedic therapies to enliven the mind and the body. Day 09: The Kerala Backwater Excursion
The backwaters of Kerala will be the most enjoyable moment for the visitors as it resembles the beauty of Venice. You will be in for a gallant boat ride that covers two hours in order to cover around 70 kms of cruise across the romantic huge lakes. This magnificent journey covers the terrain full of coconut palm, rice patties, and beautiful hamlets. You will be taking your meals in the natural surroundings and stay at overnight aboard the houseboat.
Day 10: Backwaters-Cochin
Cochin is a big harbor of the state and replete with exotic and clean beaches. After spending your relaxed morning sessions over the houseboat in this leg of your most undreamt part of journey, you will be taken for a drive to Cochin in Kerala which lies at distance of 65 kms. After covering this journey of around one-and- a half- hour, you will be transferred to Taj Malabar Hotel. Your hotel room will give you the scintillating glimpses of the harbor and the silhouette across its horizons.
Day 11: Cochin
The city of Cochin is full of many tourists attractions. The day is full of dynamic travelogue which covers the sightseeing of the Cochin city full of wonderful palaces, museums and edifices of archeological marvel. You will be watching a beautiful live show of the Kathakali dance, which has become a worldwide aesthetic craze for the present age. You will experience the sumptuous supper at the Taj Malabar.
Day 12: Madras
Madras or Chennai is a blend of spirituality and modernity. This day is stuffed again with the galore of sightseeing marvels at Madras that includes the architecturally classy temples and cathedrals like Kapaleeshwarar an ancient Shiva temple which is the biggest temple in Madras & Sri Parthasarathy Temple devoted to Lord Krishna, , and San Thome Cathedral which are Christian churches. After the prolific tour, you will be escorted to Hotel Taj Coromandel.
Day 13: Kanchipuram
The ancient Indian art of carvings and sculpture is found in the city of Kanchipuram. You will be driven to Kanchipuram which is en-route Mahabalipuram, wherein you will see the stunning pieces of architectural & engineering excellence of ancient skilled hands. These include Kailasantha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva built in red sandstone with Pallava influence in the carvings, Vardaraja Perumal Temple constructed by the Vijaynagar Kings is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Sri Ekambareswara Temple a famous Shiva temple with a tall South Gopuram and Kamakshi Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Parasakti. On arrival to Mahabalipuram and be transferred to Hotel Fisherman’s Cove.
Day 14: Mahabalipuram
Mahabalipuram holds numerous stone carvings that depict Indian mythological figures. You will be relaxing at the Hotel Fisherman’s Cove in the morning session to unwind for the gallant afternoon sightseeing itinerary that includes Five Rathas the famous chariots four of which are carved from a single stone; Shore Temple built by King Rajasimha in the seventh century is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, Krishna Mandapam the earliest rock cut temples of Mahabalipuram and Arjuna’s Penance which is an enormous bas relief with scenes from the Panchatantra et al. After the sightseeing you will be driven back to Madras.
Day 15: Chennai
You will have a relaxed morning for a drive back to Chennai which takes around two hours situating at around 80 kms from this place. You will be transferred to the International Airport for your flight back home. With the relishing mementos of the melodious singing land of South India, you will bid a farewell to India.
