Goa is a popular tourist spot, hence it is important to get to know how to reach Goa. It is easily accessible via road, rail and air. Goa has an International airport that is located 29 kilometers from Panaji from where there are regular domestic and International flights to and from London Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, Moscow, Helsinki, Dubai, Kuwait, Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore. The various flights include Kingfisher, Jet Airways, Air India, Jet Airways and more. A few international chartered flights fly directly from London to Goa.
The Konkan railway which stretches from Mumbai to Mangalore is around 760 km in length and stops at Goa. There are two main railway stations at Goa, Margao and Vasco Da Gama from where several trains leave for major cities like Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.
The inter-state bus transport system connects Goa to the important states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. There are daily public and private buses operating to important places like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Bangalore. The Kadamba bus station at Panjim is the main spot from where all the buses depart. The National highways NH 4A, NH 17 and NH 17A connect Goa to all the major cities by road. There are several local transport services available for tourists within the city including taxis, rickshaws, motorcycles and buses.
